International Research Partnerships

GHEI sustains and builds research and training collaborations across Africa, the Caribbean, and Asia, transferring research and manufacturing capacity to low- and middle-income countries and creating reciprocal training opportunities.

Current work includes Fogarty International–supported training in Ghana, Jamaica, and Malawi; a CDC collaboration; and a memorandum of understanding with the University of Global Health Equity in Rwanda. Areas of focus include natural products, malaria, pandemic preparedness, telehealth, genomics, maternal health, mental health, sickle cell disease, and cardiac screening.
