Biography

Dr. Brandy Barnett Holloman is a public health leader, educator, and workforce development strategist with more than 15 years of experience advancing health promotion, training, and community engagement across healthcare, nonprofit, academic, and government sectors. She serves as Program Manager for the Satcher Health Leadership Institute (SHLI) at Morehouse School of Medicine, where she coordinates communication, dissemination, outreach, and technical assistance for new and ongoing SHLI programming, supporting health equity initiatives and cross-sector collaboration.

Dr. Holloman has led large-scale workforce development and public health education initiatives focused on adolescent health, mental health, rural health, leadership development, and organizational capacity building, with prior leadership and consulting roles at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Power & Potential, and Georgia State University. She has also served as an adjunct professor at Kent State University since 2021, teaching courses in public health, global health, mental health, ethics in research, and healthcare leadership, and mentoring emerging professionals and doctoral students.

Her interests include participatory research and program development centered on health equity, adolescent health, rural health systems transformation, and global health programs in Ghana.Dr. Holloman earned a Doctor of Health Education from A.T. Still University, graduating with a 4.0 GPA and the Certificate of Academic Excellence, along with a Master of Science in Health Promotion and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the University of Mississippi, where she was a student-athlete on the track and field team. As founder of Barnett Health Consulting, LLC, she continues to support organizations through leadership coaching, workforce training, and strategic public health consulting.
