On July 12th, “Public Health Grand Rounds: Seven Decades of Firsts with Seven CDC Directors” took place at the Global Communications Center at the Center for Disease Control (CDC). The purpose of this event was to celebrate 70 years of excellence at the CDC, and with its past directors’ participation, including our very own Dr. David Satcher, attendees were afforded the rare opportunity to hear esteemed public health professionals’ personal experiences and accomplishments within the CDC. They were also able to explore what challenges have been—and will be—faced.
